The two most common diseases affecting teeth and gums are caries and periodontitis. They are caused by bacterial dental deposits, known as plaque. This dental plaque can only be removed through extremely thorough oral hygiene. That is why regular professional teeth cleaning and, if necessary, guidance on oral hygiene and nutrition are among the cornerstones of our treatment.

Pregnant patients in particular often suffer from bleeding gums, which can be caused by the massive hormonal changes during pregnancy. Bacteria may be able to enter the bloodstream more easily and pose risk factors for the embryo.

Paediatric dentistry
No treatment is as effective as preventing caries from appearing. That’s why we are ready to advise from the beginning of your pregnancy, accompany you and your child later on when playfully discovering the exciting world of a dentist, are happy to see the first milk teeth and wobbly teeth respectively and have an ace up our sleeve if one can’t be bothered with brushing one’s teeth.
For us prevention means regular check-ups with nutrition counselling and a classification into our teeth cleaning initiative depending on the risk of caries. Staining of plaque and generating an oral hygiene index enables our young patients as well as their parents to purposefully check their cleaning success. The concluding cleaning and polishing of the teeth with hardening treatment top off the visit.
